IEC 60598-1 Clause 4.12.5 Gland Test and Test Device.

This device tests the mechanical strength and clamping of screw glands and cable entries on luminaires in accordance with IEC 60598-1, clause 4.12.5. Stainless-steel rods from ø5 to ø32 mm and calibrated weights (20, 40, 50 and 60 N) are applied through a ø250 mm wheel to verify that the gland retains the cable and resists pull-out under load. ULMEKA designs and manufactures the device; the rod set, weights and fixturing are configured to the samples on request.

This device performs the gland (cable entry) test described in IEC/EN 60598-1, Clause 4.12.5.
