The Socket Cover Compression Test Device applies a controlled compressive force to socket-outlet covers and membranes to verify their mechanical strength per IEC 60884-1.
A force of 20 ± 2 N is applied at a conditioning temperature of 25 ± 5 °C. ULMEKA designs and manufactures the device; force and fixturing are configured on request.
Standard reference
This test of IEC/EN 60884-1 applies a controlled compressive force to socket-outlet covers/membranes to verify that they withstand normal mechanical loading without cracking or allowing access to live parts.
