Breaking Capacity & Normal Operation Test Device.

The Breaking Capacity & Normal Operation Test Device exercises plugs and socket-outlets through making and breaking cycles under load to verify, per IEC 60884-1, their electrical and mechanical endurance during normal service.

It provides 3 work stations driven pneumatically at 5–8 kg/cm², with a 7-inch touchscreen and test count and duration adjustable from 0 to 9999. ULMEKA designs and manufactures the device; stations and cycle settings are configured on request.

The breaking-capacity and normal-operation tests of IEC/EN 60884-1 make and break the rated current/voltage on the plug-socket combination for the number of cycles required by the standard, confirming that the accessory operates without excessive arcing, welding or deterioration.
