Repeated swing-arm drop durability of plugs & accessories per IEC 60884-1
The Plug-Socket Mechanical Durability Test Device evaluates the robustness of plugs and accessories against repeated falls, per IEC 60884-1, using a swing-arm that drops the specimen from a defined height.
The specimen is dropped 8 times from a 750 mm height. ULMEKA designs and manufactures the device; drop height, count and fixturing are configured on request.
Standard reference
The mechanical-durability test of IEC/EN 60884-1 carries out the number of insertion/withdrawal cycles required by the standard on plug-socket combinations, confirming that contacts, latches and the enclosure withstand normal service life without failure.
