The Maximum Withdrawal Force Test Device verifies, per IEC 60884-1, the force required to withdraw a plug from a socket-outlet, ensuring the engagement is neither too loose nor excessive.

It uses 3 plug sets and 2 test pins with an adjustable weight set of 4, 10, 20 and 40 N (up to 100 N). ULMEKA designs and manufactures the device; pins, plug sets and weights are configured on request.

Standard reference

The withdrawal-force test of IEC/EN 60884-1 verifies that the force required to withdraw a plug from a socket-outlet stays within the maximum (and minimum) limits of the standard — high enough for retention, low enough for safe removal.
