IEC 60884
Conductor Damage Test Device.
Degree-of-damage to flexible-cord conductors at the anchorage per IEC 60884-1
The Conductor Damage Test Device determines the degree of damage to flexible-cord conductors at the cord anchorage of plugs and connectors, per IEC 60884-1, by flexing the cord under load.
A drum rotates at 10 ± 2 rpm for an adjustable 15 min with weights from 0.3 to 2 kg. ULMEKA designs and manufactures the device; weights and timing are configured on request.
Standard reference
This test, defined in IEC/EN 60884-1, determines the degree of damage to flexible-cord conductors after the anchorage and flexing tests, comparing it against the limit permitted by the standard so that the cord remains safe in service.
