Vertical Burning Test Device (EN 61386)
The Vertical Burning Test Device is designed to evaluate the flammability performance of conduit systems in accordance with the EN 61386 standard. This device tests the resistance of conduits to burning in a vertical position, ensuring compliance with international safety standards. The test simulates the behavior of conduit systems in fire conditions and assesses the flame spread characteristics of the materials. As a result, the reliability of the products and their compliance with fire safety standards are guaranteed.
At ULMEKA Mechatronics Engineering Industry Domestic and Foreign Trade Co. Ltd., the Vertical Burning Test Device is manufactured in accordance with the guidelines outlined in Figure 7 of the EN 61386 standard.
Device Features
- Standard Compliance: Fully compliant with EN 61386.
- Testing Capability: Suitable for testing hoses of all diameters.
- User-Friendly Design: Easy to use with precise measurement capabilities.
- Safety Measures: Equipped with special protective measures to ensure operator safety during testing.
Test Procedure
- The conduit to be tested is placed in the vertical burning chamber of the device.
- Initially, the burner is set at a 90-degree angle, and the flame height and temperature are measured. Afterward, the burner is adjusted to a 45-degree angle.
- The flame source specified in the standard is applied to the conduit for a predetermined period.
- The flame propagation distance and duration on the conduit are measured and evaluated.
Applications
The Vertical Burning Test Device has a wide range of applications in the quality control of conduit systems used in the electrical, construction, and infrastructure sectors.
