IEC 60529
IPX8 Continuous Immersion Test Chamber.
The IPX8 test verifies protection against the effects of continuous immersion in water under conditions agreed between manufacturer and user, as defined in IEC 60529. Depth and duration are set according to the product specification.
This chamber provides a controlled immersion volume for IPX8 testing and can be configured alongside other IP water tests (IPX7 temporary immersion, IPX9K high-pressure) where a wider IP range is required.
This chamber has a 1 m diameter and 60 cm height test volume and can perform immersion tests up to 5 bar (equivalent to about 50 m depth). It is PLC + HMI controlled, and can be designed in custom sizes and depths on request.
